Duration : 12 Month contract Job Description :

• This position will work with other team members to manage, modify, and develop computer systems required to manufacture optical fiber.
• The position will also participate in or occasionally lead projects to meet the plant's objectives, drive cost reduction efforts, and participate in capacity expansion efforts. Day to Day Responsibilities :
• Assist team of engineers to provide production support and troubleshooting for 24 / 7 manufacturing operation. Work with production associates, technicians, and engineers to ensure reliable equipment operation via automated control systems and user interfaces.
• Support process and product optimization / improvement efforts.
• Provide training for engineers and / or production associates as needed for new processes, equipment, or control systems.
• Participate in capital projects.
• Some after-hours, on-call support may be needed. Experience :
• 5+ years in a technical role or relevant experience
• Knowledge in computer and PLC programming skills such as : VB, .net, C, real-time systems or similar Desired Skills :
• Ability / experience integrating computers into manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and lower cost
• MS Windows, iFIX, EthernetIP I / O, Microsoft Office. Real time controls systems, experience with motion systems (desired but not required), SCADA, Twincat
• Experience in production support in a manufacturing environment
• Problem-solving and debugging skills; ability to understand real needs behind operations and engineering requests
• Ability / experience troubleshooting simple low voltage electrical circuitry Education :
