Truck Driver Responsibilities

As a Truck Driver with WCTractor, you will be responsible for managing the transport of construction and ag equipment between locations. Primary duties include loading and properly securing equipment, safely transporting equipment between locations, and communicating with WCTractor team members and customers on a regular basis. This is a home daily position. Vehicles to be driven range from 3 / 4 Ton trucks up to 18 Wheelers.

Truck Driver Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment
• Transport tractors and equipment over the road to and from stores and customer locations
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log appropriate work / rest periods and miles spent driving.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations in a timely manner
