Truck Driver I

Wilsonart, Denver, has an immediate opening for a Truck Driver I. This individual conducts assigned deliveries. Loads and unloads trucks in the assigned department / location. Performs other tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loads and unloads materials
• Drives truck to destinations and returns safely
• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations
• Prepares and maintains required documentation
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies
• Positions hazardous material trailer identification
• Reads maps and plans routes to the load destination
• Maintains acceptable driving record
• Assists the needs of the customer
• Assists in the distribution center as necessary or directed
• Performs other tasks as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

High School Graduate or GED

Must have a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s license

Hazardous material endorsement

EXPERIENCE

1+ years

Local experience

No chargeable accidents in three years

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking / pushing / climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>

50 lbs) Examples : grounds staff and EMS

ENVIRONMENT : Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples : engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards / grounds staff

COMPENSATION : $25.70 - $31.13 / HR, DOE

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
