Key Responsibilities

- Ensure that all aircraft maintenance tasks are executed correctly and efficiently.
- Influence the design of new aviation weapon systems to simplify and reduce maintenance requirements.
- Provide operational support to fleet personnel and aircraft, ensuring optimal performance.
- Oversee all material and manpower required to support flight operations effectively.
Work Environment
Members of the Navy Flight Support community engage in various roles that encompass all aspects of naval aviation. As an Aviation Maintenance Duty Officer, you could work on a ship at sea or at an air station, traveling to diverse locations worldwide.
Qualifications
To become a Commissioned Officer, a four-year college or university degree is required, alongside completion of Officer Training. Exceptions may apply based on significant service experience.

Part-Time Opportunities
Part-time roles are available for Aviation Maintenance Duty Officers within the Navy Reserve.
