SUMMARY
Assistant Caregivers are responsible for assisting the Lead Caregiver in providing a nurturing safe environment, which allows children to participate in activities designed to enhance their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Assistant Caregivers are required to work an average of 6-8 hours per day.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures that staff follow all school and licensing procedures
- Responsible for assisting in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the classroom program and child assessment
- Communicates with families regularly regarding schedules, payments, and student information
- Assist in ensuring all students on daily attendance sheet are accounted for as necessary and keeps accurate records of parent sign-in and sign-out times
- Tends to needs of children with medical conditions
- Assist in ensuring all forms are filled out accurately including medication, accident, and disciplinary forms
- Obtains minimum of 16 training hours per year
- Consults with Coordinator and building administrator to establish appropriate strategies for dealing with challenging behavior
- Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Job performance is evaluated annually in accordance with the policy provisions and contractual agreements adopted by the Warren Woods Public Schools Board of Education.
