Role Overview
- Looking for strong technical product managers with visualization experience with an e-commerce background.
- Strong experience building with visualization tools like AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality), 3D, CAD, etc.
- They would also be willing to consider candidates that have strong roadmap creation experience + writing new front, backend & integration functionality who are coming in with deep e-commerce & retail experience.
- Mobile app experience would be a huge plus!
Ideal candidates will still be strong technical product managers with visualization experience & coming from an ecommerce background. That said, the team is now open to considering technical PDMs with deep experience in roadmap creation + writing new front, backend & integration functionality who are coming in with deep ecommerce & retail experience.
1. Product Strategy & Vision:
Define and execute the roadmap for visualization experiences, including AR/VR, room planners, product customization, and other immersive experiences across both eCommerce and native mobile applications.
Collaborate with leadership and other stakeholders to set the long-term vision and strategy for how visualization features can drive user engagement and business KPIs.
Stay up to date with emerging trends in eCommerce, augmented reality (AR), and mobile app technologies to continuously innovate and evolve the product experience.
2. Cross-functional Leadership & Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, QA, TPM) to deliver features on time and within scope.
Serve as the primary product expert, helping to guide the team in decision-making, user experience improvements, and problem-solving.
Coordinate and communicate with engineering and design teams to ensure the technical and design specifications are aligned with the overall product vision.
Collaborate with the data and analytics teams to track performance, gather insights, and iterate on features based on user behavior and feedback.
3. User Experience & Design Excellence:
Lead user research efforts to understand customer needs and pain points related to product visualization, working closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging experiences.
Translate user insights into clear product requirements and user stories for design and engineering teams.
Ensure seamless integration of visualization features with the overall eCommerce user journey, from discovery to purchase, ensuring high conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
4. Stakeholder Management:
Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure product initiatives align with business goals and customer needs.
Effectively communicate product updates, vision, and strategy to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with company objectives and goals.
Collect and synthesize feedback from internal teams, customers, and partners to ensure continuous improvement of the product experience.
5. Data-Driven Decision Making:
Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of visualization features, including user engagement, conversion rates, and overall product performance.
Use data to drive product decisions and prioritize feature development based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility.
Conduct A/B tests and user studies to validate assumptions and inform product direction.
6. Project Management & Execution:
Own the product development lifecycle for visualization experiences, from ideation and scoping to release and iteration.
Manage timelines, resources, and project dependencies to ensure on-time delivery of product features.
Be proactive in identifying and mitigating risks, removing blockers, and solving problems as they arise during product development.
Must have:

- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on visualization technologies (e.g., AR/VR, 3D, CAD, room planners, and product configurators) in eCommerce or mobile apps.
- Proven track record of delivering successful products and features, particularly in the realm of immersive digital experiences (e.g., AR/VR, product visualization, etc.).
- Strong experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing product development end-to-end.
- Deep understanding of mobile app development processes, user-centered design principles, and how to implement engaging product experiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to use data to inform decisions and prioritize initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a high level of attention to detail and organization.
- Proficient in using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana) and product analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mix panel, Amplitude).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Familiarity with AR/VR, 3D modeling, and interactive visualization tools used in eCommerce and mobile applications (WebGL is #1 priority, other tools include Unity, Three.js, ARKit & AR Core).
- Baseline knowledge of their other tools like Blender & Babylon.js engine
- Solid understanding of the technical aspects of mobile app development (iOS/Android) and web-based applications, especially as they pertain to performance and user experience.
- Knowledge of the eCommerce ecosystem, including best practices for UI/UX design, A/B testing, and conversion optimization.

- Knowledge of user research methods (e.g., usability testing, customer interviews) and UX/UI principles specific to mobile and web applications.
