Job description

Reporting to : Director, Technology Project Management

The Opportunity

Lumens is seeking an experienced eCommerce Product Manager to lead strategic initiatives that drive customer retention, conversion, and loyalty across our digital commerce experience. In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal technology, marketing, UX, analytics, and merchandising teams—as well as third-party partners—to identify and eliminate customer friction points, enhance engagement, and optimize digital experiences for improved performance.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Lumens.com, using data and customer insights to develop initiatives that increase repeat purchase, reduce cart abandonment, and boost overall customer lifetime value. You’ll use data, customer insights, and experimentation to optimize the customer journey—from first visit to repeat purchase.

This is an exciting opportunity for a product professional who thrives on solving complex problems, improving digital journeys, and turning insights into measurable business results.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on product manager with a proven track record of driving measurable growth through conversion optimization and customer retention strategies. You’re fluent in data, analytics, and experimentation—and passionate about using insights to improve every step of the digital shopping journey.

You understand how to balance business performance with customer empathy, and you’re energized by opportunities to influence roadmap direction, collaborate cross-functionally, and continuously test, learn, and iterate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Retention & Conversion Optimization
  • Develop and drive the eCommerce roadmap focused on improving customer conversion, engagement, and repeat purchase behavior.
  • Use funnel analysis, A / B and multivariate testing, and behavioral data to identify, size, and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  • Product Strategy & Execution
  • Translate business objectives and customer insights into clear product requirements and user stories.
  • Write clear and detailed user stories, prioritize initiatives based on business impact, and assess ROI to guide roadmap decisions.
  • Collaborate with UX / UI design to simplify user flows and reduce friction throughout the purchase journey.
  • Ensure successful product delivery through detailed QA, UAT management, and post-launch performance tracking.
  • Customer Insight & Data Analysis
  • Review and synthesize customer feedback, session replays, and on-site analytics to uncover actionable insights.
  • Conduct funnel analysis and customer journey mapping to uncover drop-off points and potential optimizations.
  • Cross-Functional & Vendor Leadership
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies that improve conversion, engagement, and overall site performance.
  • Partner closely with development, marketing, and operations teams to align roadmap priorities and deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience leading eCommerce product initiatives, digital optimization, or conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce technologies, including platform capabilities (Salesforce Commerce Cloud preferred), CRM systems, analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, GA4), and A / B testing tools (Adobe Target).
  • Proven success improving key performance indicators such as conversion rate, repeat purchase, and customer lifetime value.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in funnel analysis, site performance metrics, and interpreting test results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical insights into clear business narratives.
  • Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors (ESPs, ratings + reviews, chat, loyalty programs, and payment tools).
  • Personal Characteristics

  • Passionate advocate for customers and their end-to-end experience.
  • Analytical and innovative thinker who thrives in a test-and-learn culture.
  • Strategic yet hands-on; comfortable moving between high-level planning and day-to-day execution.
  • Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability for business outcomes.
  • Excels in dynamic environments with multiple competing priorities.
  • Approaches challenges with optimism, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
