Job descriptionAbility to communicate vision, strategy, and specific to stakeholder and donors Report-out on success, lessons learned, and document best practices Collaborate with the Prospect Research and Database Manager at the Archdiocese regarding donor cultivation, population of database Prepare and present regular reports on impact of MGO efforts to administrative team Develop MGO long-term strategy and plans Systematically and consistently capture of donor information, including meetings, asks, activities and correspondence Bachelor's Degree Required, Advanced Degree preferred (MBA, MPA) or related field Eight (8) to 10+ years successful experience in philanthropy, fundraising, sales or equivalent Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043) Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals Ability to present ideas in a cogent, understandable, and compelling manner both orally and in writing; - The ability to respect confidences when dealing with sensitive issues Valid driver's license required Salary commensurate with degree and experience Qualification and disqualification of prospects, including appropriate documentation. Achieving overall agreed-upon revenue goal based on individual donor goals and strategic priorities of the organization Retaining and upgrading donors, including cultivation of transformational gifts Development of personalized engagement and solicitation plans that take into account individual donors’ interests, motivations, giving patterns, and communication preferences Securing project and organization information to write effective and compelling proposals, regular and timely impact reports back to donors, and other communications Creating accurate and timely progress reports that reflect portfolio performance, interactions with donors, and progress toward goals Effectively managing people, processes, deadlines, and budget while adhering to the policies and procedures of the organization Effectively collaborating with peers, colleagues, and management, including maintaining a positive and constructive attitude, being a team player, and advancing the mission, goals, and values of Holy Family High School The Holy Family High School community is like no other. Major Gifts Officer
Holy Family High School is seeking a passionate and dynamic person to serve as a Major Gift Officer (MGO) to promote and extend the mission of Christ’s Church in Northern Colorado.
The MGO is called upon to share and articulate the vision and needs of Holy Family High School and invite donors to support our mission.
Your efforts will make a lasting and meaningful impact on the future of Catholic Education. We need your passion and energy as we encourage the people of Northern Colorado to embrace and advance our mission.
General Responsibilities :
The Major Gift Officer will be responsible for building and advancing meaningful donor relationships and developing a dedicated donor portfolio. The MGO will work in collaboration the administration team and the Advancement Office with the Archdiocese of Denver to craft fundraising strategies.
Essential Duties :
Fundraising and Donor Management
- Develop fundraising strategies that address immediate and long-term fundraising needs
- Collaborates to prepare annual fundraising projections, including the creation of individual work plans and targets
- Actively solicits and closes gifts of $5,000+ to advance our mission
- Effectively, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors toward increased level of giving
- Develop and build thoughtful donor stewardship and donor retention strategies
- Support event planning meetings to ensure seamless coordination from events and major gifts teams
- Attends and assists with the preparation and execution of Holy Family High School events
- Assist with Marketing and Communications to support annual appeal and direct mail efforts
