Job Summary
The Brand & Creative Agency is part of the Marketing Center of Excellence, serving as both a strategic partner and a creative hub for the entire enterprise. The team works with internal partners to create, execute, and deliver creative solutions aligned with business requirements, and engage with external vendors when needed. The team is responsible for developing collateral for both existing and new brand partners to support ongoing marketing communications and engagement efforts.
The Brand & Creative Agency Copywriter, in a supporting role, collaborates with the creative team to help produce top-tier creative primarily focusing on copy across various mediums such as print, email, packaging, digital, video / motion scripts, and brand. This role works with a team of copywriters and proof-readers, supporting and contributing to conceptual development, content development, project execution.
The Copywriter is a dynamic collaborator, innovator, and content creator. This role demonstrates original content creation, content management, excellent editing skills and a keen eye for details. Additionally, this Copywriter actively shares project responsibilities with their team, often supporting the Lead writer role to help manage the heavy day-to-day workload.
The Brand & Creative Agency Copywriter, is a representative of the copy team across the organization, engaging with account partners to senior leadership. This role requires a good understanding of the business and the agility to identify and course-correct when best practices are not being followed. The Copywriter supports the Lead and the overall Agency to meet its goals and objectives. This role also partners with writers in our Bangalore, India location.
Essential Job Functions :
Marketing Focus : Transform marketing strategies into compelling communications through creative and innovative content, powerful conceptual ideas, digital, video, and interactive solutions. Craft and deliver creative solutions that cater to the requirements of both internal and external partners, thereby elevating the Brand & Creative group as a valuable strategic partner.
Branding : Uphold and enhance creative excellence by generating innovative ideas, aligning with creative briefs, and ensuring consistency of strategic branding. Collaborate with design team to ensure the consistent representation of brand identity, both visually and through voice. Support the ongoing development and evolution of the Bread Financial brand identity in partnership with other Brand & Creative leaders.
Creative Strategy : Responsible for partnering with internal clients, understanding business requirements, and ensuring that creative solutions are rooted in effective creative strategies. Operate as a strategic and innovative creative thinker, offering both strategic guidance and strong creative recommendations. Support the creation of content / copy for marketing materials in support of the Brand & Creative team, handling both individual requests and larger group initiatives.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements :
Normal office environment, some travel may be required.
This position is hybrid with an onsite schedule of 3 - 4 days per month.
In-office requirements are subject to change based on business need.
This position is currently available to candidates that reside within 60 miles of a Bread Financial location.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field of study.
2+ years of copywriting experience in an advertising agency or on the client side.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree English with a specialization in Copywriting.
3+ years’ experience with copy work on either client or agency side and across channels.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Conceptualize ideas
Ability to adapt writing style and voice in support of a wide variety of companies and their content strategies.
Command of the English language including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses / domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates, both full time and part time, can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.
All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Full-time hourly associates receive a bi-annual grant of Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in each January and July based on their service date and scheduled hours, whereas newly hired full time hourly associates in their first year of employment receive a prorated PTO grant on their 61st day of employment based on the month of hire and scheduled hours. Associates will receive a payout of any unused PTO, up to 40 hours, paid out in the next calendar year (except associates in Alaska, California, Colorado, Montana and Nebraska who are paid for all unused PTO). Additionally, hourly associates (except those in California) generally receive 72 hours of Paid Sick Leave Plus (“PSL+”) per calendar year, with a pro-rated grant in the associate’s first year of employment to the extent allowed by applicable law. If additional PSL+ is required in a particular jurisdiction, the company with comply with applicable law. Unused PSL+ does not carry over from one calendar year to the next unless required by applicable law. Instead of PSL+, hourly associates in California receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year.
Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December.
