Under the general supervision of the Supervising Nursing Education Consultant (SNEC) the Nursing Education Consultant (NEC), is involved in various programs and services provided by the Board of Registered Nursing (Board) in its implementation of the Nursing Practice Act.This NEC position is a home-office designated position, servicing all of California.

Working Conditions
Please see Duty Statement for additional details regarding functional requirements and work conditions. This is a home-office designated position, servicing all of California. This position requires traveling and, on occasion, the incumbent is required to travel throughout California for individual meetings by various methods of transportation. If travel expenses are incurred, mileage will be reimbursed at the current allowable rate. Additionally, incumbent may be required to travel throughout the state multiple days per week.
A Master's Degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited college or university is desired but not required.This is a home-office designated position and is being advertised Statewide.
Special Requirements
- The position(s) require(s) a(n) Registered Nurse License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.
Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) - Title 11, Section 703 (d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance to DCA's (CORI) procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position. Additionally, the position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and / or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals or to sensitive program matters at all times.Conflict of Interest (COI) - This position is subject to Title 16, section 3830 of the California Code of Regulations, the Department of Consumer Affaris' Conflict of Interest Regulations. The incumbent is required to submit a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office, annually by April 1st, and within 30 days of leaving office.
