Responsibilities :
Coordinates overall administrative activities for the SPED Office.
Coordinates special education services for all Pinnacle Schools.
Maintains confidentiality of all corporate, personnel, and Company business.
Plan and coordinate the Special Education program for MGRM Pinnacle, Inc. while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and alignment with company goals and values.
Serve as the program’s liaison with parents, students, and others. Meet with teachers, students, and parents to determine and discuss service needs and delivery. As the program representative, affirm Individual Education Plans (IEP), 504 plans, and other documents.
Create student intervention practices and procedures that will increase student engagement, retention, academic performance, and a positive learning environment by providing praise, encouragement, and reinforcement.
Ensure delivery of superior student services in select programs – including Specially Designed Instruction– for students in grades 6-12 within a multi-site environment that includes online learning.
Ensure all services delivered are compliant with approved programs and related Department of Education standards. Prepare and report all program-related data to the state and Charter Board.
Establish and perform periodic internal reviews of all data and activities. Successfully complete all required audits by independent auditors and government agencies.
Coordinates and supervises services provided to students identified as eligible for special education.
Monitors the placement of students on and off-site special education programs.
Acts as LEA at individual education plan (IEP) meetings for students eligible for special education whose services are provided by public-private schools.
Monitors students’ needs for assistive technology required for access to the general curriculum.
Holds responsibility for submission of special education reports to regulatory agencies in AZED.
Maintains lines of communication among students, parents, and staff involved with special education programs.
Interacts with community and state agencies, as they are involved in the special education programming process.
Desired qualification :
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with some experience in Special Education.
Previous or current classroom teaching experience or equivalent.
Arizona State Teaching Certificate preferred.
Expert in IEPPRO software.
