Job Summary:
The EEG Technician is responsible for performing EEG procedures and providing on-call coverage. This position requires the ability to float between units and participate in rotating weekday and weekend call schedules. The EEG Technician will work closely with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic testing.

The EEG Technician will work closely with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic testing.
Location:Portland, Oregon, United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform EEG procedures.
- Provide on-call coverage, including weekdays and weekends.
- Respond to call-in requests, averaging 50% of assigned on-call shifts.
- Float between units as needed.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Document patient information and test results.
- Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform EEG procedures.
- Provide on-call coverage, including weekdays and weekends.
- Respond to call-in requests, averaging 50% of assigned on-call shifts.
- Float between units as needed.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Document patient information and test results.
- Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- EEG Technician certification or equivalent experience.
- EEG Technician certification or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Previous experience as an EEG Technician.
- Previous experience as an EEG Technician.
Special Considerations:
- On-call coverage is required, including rotating weekday and weekend shifts.
- EEG Techs are assigned 3 to 4 call shifts a month, which includes both weekdays and weekends.
- EEG techs are not scheduled for more than 1 call shift within a 4 to 5 day interval.
- EEG techs are not required to work their normal shift after being on-call; thus, they are able to call out post call without using PTO, if they choose.
- The On-Call shift starts at 4pm and ends at 7am. At 9pm, the pagers are turned off and only the neurologist can call in the EEG tech.
- On-call coverage is required, including rotating weekday and weekend shifts.
- EEG Techs are assigned 3 to 4 call shifts a month, which includes both weekdays and weekends.
- EEG techs are not scheduled for more than 1 call shift within a 4 to 5 day interval.

Scheduling:
- Block schedules are required.
- Rotating weekday and weekend call.
- Approximately 2-4 weekdays per month and 1 weekend every six weeks on call.
- Occasional need to cover weekend day shifts when other staff are on PTO.
- Expected ratio: 1:1
