Job Description :

Under general supervision of the Dean of Industrial and Transportation Technology department, the Full-Time Electrical Vehicle / Hybrid Automotive Instructor providesinstruction and support tostudents in EV Automotive program.This positionrequiresutilizing techniques that facilitate adult learning styles and demonstrates varying techniques.

Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following :

• DemonstratestheeffectiveuseoforalandwrittencommunicationskillsandknowledgeofcurrentproceduresintheAutomotiveTechnologyfield.
• Developsandreviewsprogramandsyllabi,goalsandobjectivesaccordingtoapprovedcurriculumandcoursesyllabistandards.
• Evaluatesandreviewsstudents'progressinattaininggoalsandobjectives.
• Instructs,advisesandcounselsstudents,andmaintainsappropriateadvisementrecordsoneachstudent.
• Maintainsstrictsafetyrulesinclassroomandlabenvironments.
• Monitor’suseofsupplies,materials,andequipment.
• Requestsandmaintainssuppliesandequipmentandpreparesbudgetrequests.
• Maintainsandreviewsprogramcertificationrequirements,asappropriateforprogramaccreditationstandards.
• Preparesandmaintainsallrequireddocumentationandadministrativereports,especiallyasrequiredforgrantpurposes.
• Attendingstaffdevelopmenttraining,workshops,seminarsandconferences.
• Assistswithrecruitment,retentionandjobplacementefforts.
• Demonstratesandensurestheuseofappropriateandeffectiveteachingtechniques,testingandgradingprocedures(includingpropermaintenance ofgradebooksandanyotherappropriaterecord-keeping).
• Servesoncommittees.
• MaintainsASEcertificationsandensuresqualificationsforemploymentareupdatedasnecessaryintechnicalfields.
• Promotesgoodpublicrelationsviacontactsandregularcommunicationswithbusiness,industry,andthepublicsector; and
• Performs additional duties, as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications :

Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum requirements, possess and demonstrate the following :

1)EVElectricalSafetyAwarenessCertification(LevelOne).And,

2)EVTechnicianElectricalSafetyCertification(LevelTwo).
