Description :

The Electrical Engineering Manager in Los Angeles has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating engineering projects. Experience in Educational projects is highly preferred. Project Manager has responsibility of managing the project over MEP disciplines required for the project. Plans, develops, coordinates and directs a particular discipline of a limited number of small to mid-size projects with limited complex features. Accepts full responsibility for a project from inception to the completion of construction. Strong contract administration skills are a must

Requirements :

• Performs and / or directs the preparation of project documents including specifications and bid documents. Also involves checking that items mentioned on plans appear in specifications and checking the layout and accuracy of the bid package.
• Performs and directs drawing reviews such as checking and marking up full plan sets to ensure the plans are a clear, concise, and thorough graphical representation of the intent of the design.
• Prepares technical reports and studies.
• Performs and directs project documentation.
• Performs and directs external communications such as making telephone calls and preparing correspondence to clients, officials, and contractors.
• Understands basic financial terms and concepts as they apply to projects, as well as meeting and tracking discipline budgets and schedules.
• Assist in preparing project proposals by developing discipline scope and fee.
• Understands internal / external customer"s needs / expectations; seeks to improve customer service.
• Works with others as a member of a project group.
• Maintain project to-do list and monitor that all tasks are completed.
• Mentors Project Engineer / Designer / CAD level staff.
• Title 24 Calculation experience needed.
