Join AZAD as an Electrical Engineer and
support the Substation Design organization in the Transmission Services business line. This Electrical Engineer 1 will review, check, and design electrical drawings for electrical power substations; review and check electrical drawings for electrical facilities; conduct Station Service system analysis, and short circuit and Arc Flash studies.
This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, WA with onsite 3 days per week.
The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $33.27 to $42.93 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.
The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or directly related engineering discipline. 6 months of experience and knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.6 months of experience in performing design or technical review of high voltage substation physical designs in at least one of the following disciplines : Protective Relay and Control, Metering / SCADA, RAS, or HV Outdoor Equipment. Experience should include new substations, capacity additions, line / position extensions, reliability / automation improvements, equipment relocations / replacements, maintenance, and as-builts.6 months of experience working with professional engineering theory and techniques sufficient to provide technical leadership in the design of the physical components of substations.6 months' experience in electrical substation projects for new substations, capacity additions, line / position extensions, reliability / automation improvements, equipment relocations / replacements, maintenance, and as-built.
Valid 's License / Real ID is required.
Preferred :
1 year of experience in the following : QA / QC for electrical substation , Easy Power for arc flash studiesBluebeam Revu or Adobe ProMicroStation or AutoCAD1 year of experience with File Structure System ProjectWise.
