Purpose
The Electrical Panel Designer helps development efforts by being the subject matter expert in control and automation cabinet design.
Responsibilities
Create system and subsystem level schematics using EPLAN Electrical P8 and Pro-Panel.
Component selection based on industry specific NFPA, IEC, UL Standards.
Cable and harness design. Grounding system design.
Assists in researching and procurement of various equipment sub-systems. Hands-on guidance of technicians throughout the build process.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or other relevant disciplines. Two years' experience in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or other relevant disciplines. Goal-oriented and ability to prioritize and multitask. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a collaborative team environment. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
B achelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or other relevant disciplines. More than two years' experience in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or other relevant disciplines. Experience working in a research or start-up environment. Prior experience in one or more of the following areas : nanofabrication, precision machine design, mechatronics, systems and controls, instrumentation, optical systems design. Proficiency using EPLAN Pro-Panel. Experience or interest in PCB design using Altium.
