Electrical Designer / Engineer - Instrumentation & Controls
ACS is looking for an Electrical Designer / Engineer to join our team. ACS specializes in the engineering, integration and construction of technically complex R&D and production equipment, controls, and facilities. The Electrical Designer / Engineer will work within a group of controls, electrical and software engineers to fulfill the drafting responsibilities for a variety of process and industrial projects.
This position is located in our Verona, WI office.
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Design Phase
- Work alongside a project team to
- Interpret design specifications and user requirements
- Develop and / or review wiring schematics and control panel layout drawings per UL 508A
- Create and modify process and instrumentation drawings / diagrams (P&IDs)
- Create electrical power & lighting plans
- Work with suppliers and internal Purchasing to procure instrumentation and controls equipment for projects.
- Create work orders and coordinate control panel manufacturing with our Manufacturing facility.
- Assist with performing system functionality tests on equipment in our manufacturing facility.
- Assist with developing wire pull schedules and scope of work documents for contractors to use in bidding and construction.
