AECOM Water is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our growing Jacksonville FL office. This role will lead and support design efforts for a variety of water infrastructure projects including treatment facilities pump stations and conveyance.
- Participates in development of technical proposals.
- Design low voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution systems for industrial water / wastewater applications as well as traditional building services.
- Perform design for lighting fire alarm telephone security and grounding systems.
- Prepare design drawings including single line diagrams electrical plans wiring schematics schedules etc.
- Prepare and develop engineering studies reports calculations designs specifications and construction cost estimates in compliance with applicable code and standard requirements.
- Establish electrical equipment performance parameters based on project requirements and coordinate with equipment vendors to refine preliminary selections.
- Use computer software as a tool to solve engineering problems.
- Manage designs during construction including shop drawing review information request response and punch list generation.
- Provide quality assurance oversight and independent quality control reviews to support deliverables developed by others including calculations plans specifications and engineering reports.
- Develop engineering fee estimates assist with technical proposal preparation.
- Work within a project team environment interfacing and coordinating with other disciplines and design team members.
- Collaborate with design professionals and project managers in other US offices.
- Occasional light local and national travel to project sites.
- Experienced with large multidisciplinary projects in an engineering role.
