POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineering Manager for the electrical team will require an understanding of the company’s products, electrical design requirements and the engineering design/launch processes. The manager will demonstrate extreme proficiency in creating and maintaining wire, panel packages and electrical diagrams for electrical supply and control systems. This position may also, for highly complex jobs, perform the Electrical check function for other Designers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Design UL 508A panels, including calculations, component specification, panel layout, schematic and UL 508A code specific panel labeling
• Manage a team of electricians and electrical technicians.
• Read blueprints and technical wiring diagrams.
• Design, develop and maintain wiring, control, and lighting standard diagrams.
• Review customer electrical specifications and requirements.
• Select and specify components such as transformers, fuse blocks, motor starters and protectors, protocol converters, VFD’s, signal converters, disconnect blocks, line reactors, relays and other standard electrical power distribution and control components.
• Develop written standards and tools for designing Company's electrical diagrams for lighting, power wiring and controls.
• Assist Application Engineers in developing submittal wiring diagrams.
• Assist with any product specific electrical testing.
• Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code as well as ETL requirements adhering to UL 60335-1 and UL 60335-2-40, NFPA 90, NFPA 70 and UL 508A standards.
• Administer and manage UL 508A panel shop program

Skills & Abilities
Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred. Associates degree with technical certification and 10+ years equivalent experience required.
Experience:
• High-Level: 12+ years of Electrical experience preferred with 5+ years of management experience.
• UL 508A Panel shop experience preferred
• HVAC industry experience preferred
Computer Skills:
• Wire Diagram creation in 2D Software
• Skilled with MS Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
• Working familiarity with regulatory entities including UL, ETL, AHRI, and ASHRAE preferred.
• Skilled with Microsoft Office suite products

• Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work
• Ability to record and efficiently document information
• Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (other preferences will be given for special language skills where there is a business need)
