Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator to help lead Colorado Springs estimating department. This company has a strong presence in the Denver market and they are looking to grow their operations in Colorado Springs. They have been around for over 25 years. This company values team camaraderie and has great retention. The other Senior Civil Estimator has been at the company for over 15 years. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of estimating excavation and site utilities projects. Ideally looking for HeavyBid and Bluebeam experience.

Responsibilities :

Perform takeoffs, site visits, gathering quotes, and working with subcontractors

Manage multiple estimates and coordinate with other divisions and personnel for projects

Study job specifications and evaluate construction methods to determine cost impacts for estimates

Perform digital and / or plan takeoffs for project quantities and scopes

Contact vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for quotes

Accurately forecast costs of earthwork and utility scopes for proposals

Conduct site visits and job walks as necessary for estimating

Interpret and explain costs and budgets to project management and field personnel as needed during construction

Strive for excellence in every estimate to achieve optimal results and goals

Possess an ownership attitude and be willing to grow and mentor other team members

Qualifications :

10 years of estimating excavation and site utilities projects

Experience managing other estimators

Experience with Heavy Bid and Bluebeam (or similar software)

Experience with projects over $5M

Civil Engineering or Construction degree preferred but not required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $67.30 / hr.
