In the role of Electrical Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to:
- Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities
- Conduct inspection of electrical, controls, high/low voltage systems, fiber, etc. at Transportation facilities like Airports, Tunnels, Bridges, Terminals, Transit, Ports, etc.
- Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
- Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses
- Oversee testing, commissioning and acceptance of specialized electrical systems.
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or NICET Level II certification or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years' experience in construction inspection of electrical power and communications work on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTA, NJ Transit, NJTA, NJDOT.
- Excellent Organizational and communication skills required.
- OSHA 30-hour training
- PE license in New York or New Jersey
- Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications- Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma)
- A minimum of 3 years experience
- Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
