Our roles go beyond just providing guest with a clean room and freshly made bed. We aim to create a memorable and distinctive experience for them. As a Room Inspector , you'll handle a variety of housekeeping tasks, maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the entire hotel. You will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction, and meeting product quality standards.
No matter your position, there are essential factors for success : ensuring a safe work environment, following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, upholding quality standards, and presenting yourself professionally in appearance, uniform, and communication. Room Inspector, will be on their feet for extended periods, actively engaging in tasks that involve standing, sitting or walking, and will take a hands-on approach (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance) Excelling in these tasks (and other reasonable duties as assigned) is crucial for Room Inspector to consistently deliver exceptional results for our guests and our business.
This position may require flexible scheduling availability.
Requirements : Job Requirements :
- Ensure that all guest rooms are cleaned, maintained and stocked according to brand and IHM standards before guests check in
- Check for cleanliness, correct linen, functioning amenities (e.g lights, TV, air conditioning) and overall room presentation
- Oversee the work of the housekeepers to ensure they are following the correct procedures
- Provide feedback and coaching to staff on how to improve cleaning techniques
- Review inspection reports and room status updates
- Identify and report any maintenance issues in rooms (e.g broken fixtures, plumbing problems) to the maintenance team for prompt resolution
- Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors or Director of Rooms when stock is running low
- Handle guest complaints or concerns regarding room cleanliness and service, and ensure that issues are resolved promptly
- Follow up on guest satisfaction surveys to ensure quality standards are continually met
- Ensure that all safety and hygiene protocols are followed during the cleaning process
- Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and / or disturbances
- There will be moments in which Room Inspector will need to provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guests check out

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
