Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Threshold Inspector to join our team. The Threshold Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of threshold buildings to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive inspections of threshold buildings.
Review plans and specifications to verify compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and standards.
Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation, highlighting any deficiencies or required corrections.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects to address inspection findings and ensure compliance.
Provide guidance and recommendations to clients regarding construction practices and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on changes to local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
Act as a representative of Tew & Taylor during inspections and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Valid Florida Threshold Inspector certification and relevant licensure.
Proven experience as a threshold inspector or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code and local regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
