Datacenter Electrical Technician (IT)
A global telecommunications leader providing cutting-edge network solutions seeks a skilled Data Center Electrician Technician Level 1 to support critical datacenter operations and ensure seamless connectivity for enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities :
Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems.
Troubleshoot and repair power distribution, UPS units, generators, switchgear, and PDUs.
Implement preventative maintenance for system reliability.
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA regulations.
Oversee system expansions and modifications with contractors.
Respond to emergencies, diagnosing and resolving issues.
Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
Engage in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications :
Expertise in electrical distribution, transformers, switchgear, ATS, and static UPS systems.
Understanding of CRAC / CRAH units, cooling towers, and HVAC.
A minimum of 2 years of relative experience.
Familiarity with fire life safety systems and NFPA standards.
Ability to interpret schematics and troubleshoot electrical / mechanical systems.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and PC-based monitoring systems.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Requirements :
After-hours availability for emergencies.
