Job Description
Job Summary/Purpose: The Electrician monitors, maintains, adjusts, and repairs electrical distribution systems owned or leased by the Medical University of South Carolina in order to ensure safety and reliability of emergency and normal power electrical systems. This role requires a working knowledge of all electrical systems including, but not limited to, Generators, ATS, MCC, Drives, Motors, Distribution Center, and Distribution Panels. Incumbent is Considered Essential Personnel in a disaster.
Minimum Training and Education: High School Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 3 years. Licensed Electrician.

Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
