Under the direction of the Construction Administration Services Department Manager, you'll lead onsite inspection and testing staff while managing construction activities. Projects are primarily located in Southcentral Alaska, but future assignments may take you to other regions across the state. • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and data entry software.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex problems.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Engineer-in-Training certification or professional registration.
  • Certifications in AK-CESCL, WAQTC, ATTSA Traffic Control Supervisor, or related areas.
  • Stormwater inspection experience.
  • Material testing experience.
  • Familiarity with AASHTOWare on construction projects.
  • Essential Job Functions :

  • Administer construction contracts and verify that completed work aligns with plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Review submittals, work plans, pay estimates, schedules, and related items.
  • Evaluate work for conformance to contract requirements.
  • Apply engineering principles, methods, and knowledge during project execution.
  • Supervise and coordinate the efforts of project staff.
  • Plan work schedules and staff assignments to meet project timelines.
  • Interact professionally with clients, contractors, and the public.
  • Manage contract changes and resolve issues using critical thinking skills.
  • Coordinate materials testing for acceptance and review test results.
  • Travel throughout Alaska and work onsite with project teams.
  • Work Environment

This position involves field and office work. While working in the field, this position requires knowledge of traffic control or airfield safety measures and general construction safety requirements. This position may be required to lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted. This position involves performing work outside where inclement weather may be encountered.
