Position Description

Discover your next opportunity as a Vice President of Defense programs at Serco. This role will provide an opportunity to develop valuable expertise in leadership and help the organization to meet its core business objectives. You will lead a large team that works closely with various Department of Defense customers and other Serco teams to deliver quality services in support of our customer’s missions. This is a high-profile role collaborating with other executives, overseeing multiple programs, and opportunity to apply your extensive background and experience for success. This position is a Hybrid Role based out of San Diego, CA or Charleston, SC or Herndon, VA reporting to the Vice President of the SI2 Business Unit.

The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

In this role you will :

• Manage strategic growth and a diverse DoD portfolio, responsible for P&L of over $150M annually with a worldwide staff of over 200 people.
• Oversee Business Directors in the execution and completion of multiple complex U.S. Navy Modernization projects / programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of schedule, budget, and quality.
• Develop creative business solutions to meet customer requirements across diverse technologies, delivery, and pricing models.
• Drive effective communication and issue resolution to maintain project timelines, financials and quality standards.
• Drive high performance standards across the operation – develop great talent, and identify and implement programs for filling any gaps that may exist to drive growth.
• Spearhead efforts to develop new business opportunities and expand existing customer services through exceptional project delivery, customer relationship management, and as pipeline expansion within the DoD Market.
• Responsible for growth within the portfolio.
• Successfully manage change in an evolving business.
