Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Performs a variety of repetitive and non-repetitive tasks associated with electrical design and electro-mechanical testing of new equipment and new product prototypes.
• Communicates with internal and external customers.
• Provides technical assistance to other personnel in the operation of computers, electronic equipment and various test applications.
• Performs first level testing, using standard equipment, and analyzes results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustments.
• Builds, operates and modifies non-standard equipment and test fixtures.  May recommend new equipment materials or procedures to improve product quality or reliability.
• Travels to various field site locations to assist with evaluation of system start-ups.
• Programs integrated circuits (ic chip, eprom, etc.).
• Performs mechanical calibration of systems and equipment.
• Develops fixturing and schematic drawings.
• Assists in writing, programming or modifying test specifications using standard procedures and / or computers.

Education and / or Experience

Physical Requirements :

Frequently lifts loads of 40 lbs or less.

Occasionally bends and positions self to access tight spaces.

Occasionally ascends / descends a ladder.

Frequently handles, feels, operates and controls objects, tools or controls.
