Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Performs a variety of repetitive and non-repetitive tasks associated with electrical design and electro-mechanical testing of new equipment and new product prototypes.
- Communicates with internal and external customers.
- Provides technical assistance to other personnel in the operation of computers, electronic equipment and various test applications.
- Performs first level testing, using standard equipment, and analyzes results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustments.
- Builds, operates and modifies non-standard equipment and test fixtures. May recommend new equipment materials or procedures to improve product quality or reliability.
- Travels to various field site locations to assist with evaluation of system start-ups.
- Programs integrated circuits (ic chip, eprom, etc.).
- Performs mechanical calibration of systems and equipment.
- Develops fixturing and schematic drawings.
- Assists in writing, programming or modifying test specifications using standard procedures and / or computers.

Physical Requirements :
Frequently lifts loads of 40 lbs or less.
Occasionally bends and positions self to access tight spaces.

Frequently handles, feels, operates and controls objects, tools or controls.
