360 Talent Avenue is seeking an Upper Elementary General Studies Teacher for our client, a vibrant and nurturing Jewish Day School dedicated to providing a well-rounded education that combines rigorous general studies with a deep appreciation for Jewish heritage, values, and traditions. Responsibilities : Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and personal growth. Teach core subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies, using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Incorporate Jewish values and traditions into general studies instruction where appropriate. Assess and monitor student progress through observations, tests, and assignments, providing timely feedback and support. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events. Uphold school policies, procedures, and high standards of professional behavior. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required, Master’s degree preferred. Valid teaching certification. At least two years of private school teaching experience in an elementary school setting or a Jewish Day School in any grade from 2nd-5th. Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and best teaching practices. Excellent classroom management skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment to support diverse student populations and adapt instruction to address a range of learning needs.
