The primary role of this position is to coordinate and implement external marketing efforts to expand the credit union’s community presence, build strategic partnerships, and foster relationships that drive growth and engagement. Assists with implementing all marketing efforts on behalf of the organization that translate into a positive impact on our members' financial well-being. To accomplish this role, the Marketing Specialist assists with brand awareness initiatives by coordinating / implementing community events and assisting with the development of content to keep internal staff engaged. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with all required regulations, policies, and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Essential Functions & Responsibilities : Develops and executes community engagement strategies to increase brand awareness, build relationships, and drive membership growth. Represents ECCU at community events, school functions, and networking opportunities. Coordinates with other departments within the Credit Union to develop community outreach projects, ensure marketing standards are followed at branch locations, fulfill branch collateral requests, and assist with the coordination of corporate events such as member seminars, grand openings, and annual meetings. Assist with copywriting, editing, layout, and design for all Credit Union publications, including the intranet, member newsletter, forms, documents, website, campaigns, emails, social media posts, and other marketing communications. Assist the Marketing Manager in developing and maintaining advertising, promotions, and marketing strategies. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Desired Candidate will have : One to three years of similar or related experience. A two-year college degree, completion of a specialized certification or licensing, specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. Experience involving personal contact with internal and external stakeholders for conflict resolution, relationship building, and soliciting cooperation, requiring diplomacy and tact. Creative writing skills and knowledge of target marketing. Organizational and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to coordinate multiple projects. Proficiency in PC skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, publishing software, and general office equipment.
