• Previous Operating Room experience required
• 7a-3p (Charge does not take call) 8-hour shifts (open to schedule) 13 OR Rooms 7a-3pm (8-hour shifts) 13 OR rooms Typically, 15.30 cases per day General, Bariatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neurosurgery (craniotomies, stimulators and carpal tunnel), Orthopedic (Total joints, sports medicine, some trauma), Ortho / Neuro Spine, Ear, Nose and Throat, Podiatry, Endoscopy, Interventional Pulmonology, Plastics, Urology, Vascular which includes Endovascular, Oculoplastic and Dental, C-Sections for L&D, and Open Heart. Essential Functions
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Qualifications : Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current state RN license Batchelor's preferred but not required Additional requirements include :
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
