Employment Services Supervisor
Ensures all provisions of Swope Health Employment Services as indicated through Swope Health Mental Health Services contractual agreement with the State of Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). Works collaborative with local DVR office to implement successful supported employment services. Maintains best practice understanding of supported employment and processes by which participants of Employment Services program return to competitive community employment. Seeks out community partners and stakeholders to promote Employment Services services through job development activities and through the development of relationships with other communities.
Primary Functions
- Reviews Employment Services Programs to ensure that programs follow State, CARF, and other funding or certification requirements and coordinates yearly Fidelity Review with DBH and DVR.
- In coordination with Director of CPRP and ES, oversees the hiring of new ES staff, training ES specialists and completing of annual reviews.
- Ensures and oversees that all principles of Individual Placements and Supports Model are followed by ES Specialist and conduct regular training to help staff maintain loyalty. This may be accomplished through role modeling, coaching and supervision, team meetings, or exploring external trainings to address their needed skills set.
- Ensures accurate and professional documentation is completed by ES Specialist, following agency policies for timeliness of completion, as well as paperwork, which is required to maintain compliance with fidelity model.
- Oversees the agency established budget for the Employment Services Team and the "team production expectation" to ensure financial stability for the ES Program monthly.
- Works proactively with ES Specialist to problem-solve any potential issues / barriers that may prevent staff from meeting budget expectations. During times of deficits, i.e. individual placements are low, job retentions are below standard, they will work with staff individually or as a team if appropriate, to explore trends which could be impacting placements and utilize creative thinking to come up with solutions.
- Completes all necessary paperwork in a timely manner to secure timely reimbursement of services from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and communicates with Program Director and / or CFO regarding billing issues / discrepancies.
- Ensures all Employment Services Treatment Plans are being completed timely and accurately in EMR and updated according to fidelity expectations. Ensure quality of employment plans through regular chart reviews.
- Monitors consumer outcomes and uses data to oversee changes / improvements to ES program.
- Promotes ES program through job development efforts and exploring potential employment leads that support recovery efforts.
- Coordinates ES intakes with staff and DVR as well as complete Vocational Profiles in a timely manner.
- Provides individual supervision, coaching and teaching to ES specialists regarding job development, developing interviewing skills, resume writing, etc. as well as job shadowing to increase the potential for successful job placement and retention.
- Participates in quarterly meetings or as scheduled meetings with DBH and DVR and attends learning opportunities / trainings as offered which support ES Program.
- Maintains knowledge of agency technology programs and / or systems and uses them effectively.
- Ensures diverse employment opportunities are developed to meet the needs of the agency consumers, including job development of rural areas.
- Ensures availability to other agency programs and staff regarding questions related to employment and attends Community support treatment team meetings on a quarterly basis, ensuring integration among programs.
