Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of full-time professional and / or volunteer experience in a social work setting and working with persons with disabilities; OR Associate's Degree and two years full-time professional and / or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities; OR High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and 18 credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to social work and two years of full-time professional and / or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities; OR High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and four years of full-time professional and / or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities.

As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2000 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist the more than two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. As a Beacon employee, you can be a part of delivering our mission and improving the lives of people with disabilities.
POSITION INTRODUCTION : The responsibilities of the Employment Specialist are to develop, implement, monitor and maintain career opportunities for clients including job skills training, career development / placement career retention and advancement services. Case management or knowledge of SMI or GMHSU services preferred. Knowledge of AHCCCS funding, Vocational Rehab services and integrated employment.
