The Division is composed of multiple fellowship-trained EMS physicians involved in all aspects of prehospital care throughout the State of Iowa. Division faculty provide clinical medical direction to University of Iowa AirCare; Kinnick Stadium (NCAA Division I Football) and Carver-Hawkeye Arena (NCAA Division I Basketball and Wrestling), the Iowa EMS Association, the Iowa Bureau of Emergency Medical and Trauma Services, and multiple local EMS agencies. Division EMS physicians also provide community response in a specialized physician response vehicle for advanced 911 calls and SWAT team support. The Division also directs the EMS Learning Resource Center, Iowas oldest EMS career training program and the largest AHA training facility in the Midwest.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
