Endoscopy technician Jobs in Tempe, AZ

Southwest Endoscopy  is seeking a motivated PreOp PACU Registered Nurse with GI experience preferred to join our team! This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday work schedule), off on weekends and holidays and NO call required!

Job Summary

Responsible to plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients in the Endoscopy nursing role.Provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility.Communicates appropriate information to other team members.Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit.May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include but are not limited to providing patient care in other peri-operative departments (Pre-Op, PACU), serving on committees, participating in quality improvement projects.

Required Skills :

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP / PACU, ED, Critical Care, Med Surg / Tele.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• Previous Experience with GI preferred.
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

USPI complies with federal, state, and / or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.

Required Experience :

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

Currently licensed in the state.

CPR required, advanced life support certification required.

Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.

Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.

SGNA certification preferred.

Minimum of one-year experience in Outpatient Endoscopy or surgery preferred.
