Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Auditor to join our clients construction company. The Financial Auditor will be responsible for assessing financial records, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and identifying areas for financial improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, construction accounting, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Auditor :
Conduct financial audits of construction projects, including cost analysis and budget compliance.
Examine accounting records, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and industry-specific regulations.
Assess internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance financial integrity and efficiency.
Analyze contract compliance, change orders, and project expenses to mitigate financial risks.
Review payroll records, vendor payments, and subcontractor agreements for accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
Identify discrepancies, fraud risks, and inefficiencies in financial processes and propose corrective actions.
Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations.
Assist in the implementation of best practices for cost control and financial reporting within the company.
Stay up to date on changes in financial regulations, tax laws, and construction industry trends
Qualifications of the Financial Auditor :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, job costing, and contract compliance.
Proficiency in financial audit software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
