Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to oversee quality assurance, equipment and facility maintenance, environmental, health and safety (EH&S), and raw material research and development. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with ISO and EH&S standards, maintain and optimize equipment and facility operations, and conduct R&D to improve raw materials and product quality. This multi-functional role requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities :

Quality Assurance & ISO Compliance (~30% of role) :

  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance policies and procedures in compliance with ISO standards.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and testing to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and update quality control documentation, including SOPs and process guidelines.
  • Investigate and address non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with production and sales teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Equipment & Facility Maintenance (~40% of role) :

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production and facility equipment.
  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in facility operations.
  • Manage facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security systems, grounds maintenance and custodial functions.
  • Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) (~20% of role) :

  • Develop and implement EH&S policies to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Provide safety training and promote a strong safety culture within the organization.
  • Oversee hazardous material handling, waste disposal, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Raw Material Research & Development (~10% of role) :

  • Conduct research on new raw materials to enhance product quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Evaluate material properties and performance through testing and analysis.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to source and validate new raw materials.
  • Develop and document standard formulations and material specifications.
  • Work with production team to integrate new materials into existing processes.
  • Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in quality assurance, EH&S, equipment maintenance, and / or R&D (preferably within the printing industry).
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and technical reporting.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certification in ISO auditing, Six Sigma, or related quality methodologies.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or product development.
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing methods and materials characterization specifically in the printing industry.
  • Work Environment :

  • Combination of office and production floor settings.
  • Occasional travel to suppliers and / or second production facility.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
