Position Overview
The focus of the Energy Engineer is to further develop their skillset with ECM identification and energy reporting, from level 2 audits to master planning and LL97 strategy.
- Your day-to-day work will include a mix of on-site and in-office development work, collaboration with the Fischer Energy team and our network of professionals, and is expected to be in Manhattan most days of the week.
The typical energy study is a 6-8 month engagement with multiple site visits to understand seasonal operations and develop rapport with the building operators. Your knowledge of building systems, operation, and energy will position you as a trusted extension of the clients team. Our client engagements dont end once a study is finished and a report is delivered. You will be exposed to ongoing project development, focused study efforts, and implementation work.
Experience
The ideal candidate has been in the energy engineering or services field for 2-4 years and is versed in the following topics & tasks :
BS / MS in Engineering required
EMIT / CEM preferred
Position Specifics
The Energy Engineer should be familiar with the building landscape of New York City and will be expected to work on-site and in the office each week. A typical work week could consist of 1-2 days on-site and 3-4 days in the office. Fischer Energys office is located in Midtown Manhattan.
