We are seeking a Senior Energy Project Engineer who is looking for an opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility, in our Raleigh or Charlotte, NC; Richmond, VA; or Orlando, FL offices . Our growing, fast-paced site / civil engineering practice seeks a client focused, highly motivated, organized engineer. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for leading technical teams in all aspects of site / civil project design with initial focus on land development projects within the Energy Market Segment. The types of Energy Projects anticipated are linear (overhead and underground transmission and distribution) as well as site (substation). Tasks will include permitting, site layout and development, grading and erosion control, drainage and stormwater management design, development of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), and public outreach. Knowledge of industry standards and proven ability regarding site development drawing production required. Extensive coordination and meetings with the Client are anticipated to meet project requirements, scope, and need.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate and lead design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
- Site / civil development including grading design, roadway design, stormwater management design, and erosion and sediment control design
- Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
- Conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permitting.
- Mentor and train junior / mid-level staff.
