Senior Software Engineer, Backend

At Included Health, we're building technology that makes healthcare more accessible, personalized, and effective for our members. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll help design and develop the systems that power our products, helping us deliver better care experiences and outcomes at scale.

This role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about solving complex problems, delivering impact, and leading by example. Beyond your technical skills, you'll bring ownership and leadership, making thoughtful technical decisions, and mentoring others on the team.

Reporting directly to Sr. Engineering Manager, you'll work with product managers, designers, and other engineers across the company. Together, you'll develop scalable, reliable systems and features that directly improve our members' healthcare experience.

Responsibilities :

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs that power member-facing and internal healthcare applications.
• Solve complex integration challenges across diverse and fragmented healthcare data sources.
• Contribute to product development by building features that improve user experience, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Ensure systems are reliable, performant, scalable, and maintainable.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering peers to agree on technical direction and product goals.
• Take ownership of projects throughout their lifecyclescoping, building, testing, launching, and maintaining.
• Mentor and support other engineers, contributing to the growth of the team.

Qualifications :

The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are :

Zone A : $138,380 - $195,470 + equity + benefits

Zone B : $159,137 - $224,791 + equity + benefits

Zone C : $172,975 - $244,338 + equity + benefits

Starting base salary for you will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include education; training; skills; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; our needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and understanding of geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and great compensation package based on their roles and locations.
