Position Overview :
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, purchasing, and / or implementing integrated manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties :
- Manage processes to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
- Work with engineering to identify problems with product and performance and recommends solutions or enhancements
- Performs equipment design evaluations and may develop new processes
- Plans and designs methods to improve efficiency in production
- Responsible for Capital Projects : process improvement, development of new manufacturing processes, implementing automation, and documentation
- Manage / Supervise the Maintenance team
- Manage / Supervise New Production Introduction Team
- Proactively identify and address potential production disruptions
- Proactively identify and address safety related process and equipment issues
- Must be able to work in a professional manner with all customers (internal / external) and suppliers
- This position is a member of the plant leadership team responsible for making business decisions to continue to drive Nelson safety, quality, and profitability.
- Some travel will be required
- All other duties as assigned
