Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Resort Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic Resort Operations team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the resort's facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests. This position involves a variety of tasks, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to guest calls.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes and preventative maintenance as instructed by resort leadership
  • General support by performing basic tasks such as painting, caulking, and repairing wall damages
  • Perform basic plumbing troubleshooting on toilets, tubs, jacuzzi, showers, faucets and sinks including unclogging
  • Ability to reset breakers and GFCI’s, replace bulbs, and determine voltage available using appropriate tools
  • Install and / or replace TVs, perform basic troubleshooting, programming of remote, TV, and other electronics
  • Ability to troubleshoot appliances, replace minor components and assist on full replacements
  • Actively participates in procurement and inventory to ensure materials and tools are on-site
  • Ability to effectively operate resort operations devices & software (HotSOS and other applicable)
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, electrical & battery-powered tools required by the job
  • Ability to work using ladders, scaffolds, and lifts utilizing appropriate PPE.
  • Must have the ability to follow safety guidelines & practices
  • Recognizes and identifies potential safety or security hazards in the property.
  • Ability to communicate and interpret guest needs by positively interacting towards resolutions
  • Other duties as assigned by resort operations leadership

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of trades & maintenance experience in a resort or commercial environment
  • Communicative to excel in guest and peer relations.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s license.
  • Minimum High School diploma.
  • Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure and execute to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift and / or move, push and / or pull up to 50+ pounds.

  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
