Job descriptionAssist Opticians with providing excellent professional patient care. Assist patients in selection and fit of eyewear. Assist Opticians with receiving eyewear from labs, notifying patients of their eyewear being ready, and maintenance of the patient’s Compulink file to ensure compliance regarding dispensing. Answer phones, assisting patients who call with their needs. Source insurance coverage for patients, verify eligibility, interpret benefits, and bill materials in a timely manner. Assist patients with Contact Lens ordering to include but not limited to pricing, explanation of their benefits, ordering materials, billing insurance, receiving orders, and dispensing orders. Create Patient Demographics in Compulink when needed, scan necessary documents. Collaborate with Opticians on prioritizing tasks for best patient experience. Communicate with Practice Partners as needed for best patient experience. Maintain a clean and organized dispensary at all times, free of clutter. Keep frame boards and work area neat and organized. Complete requested tasks effectively and in a timely manner, meeting deadlines and expectations. Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned by the District Manager. High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of previous experience in the optical industry. Basic computer skills required. Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including strong interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
