Since photons don't feel heat, we can take advantage of existing cryogenic cooling systems, the kind that have been operating at facilities like the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC). And because photons are in fact light, they can move between subsystems at tremendous speed using standard fiber connectivity.

Job Summary :

The Director, Security Engineering oversees the team responsible for protecting PsiQuantum's technology assets. Reporting to the Chief Information and Security officer (CISO), this person develops and implements processes, standards, and technology to ensure PsiQuantum's data and systems are resilient against security risks.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the security architecture, detection engineering, vulnerability management, and security automation functions.
• Develop and implement security standards to govern PsiQuantum's internal and cloud environments.
• Implement technical solutions to proactively address security threats, risks, and vulnerabilities.
• Work cross-functionally to align Security Engineering priorities with business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated into product development, IT systems, and business practices.
• Ensure processes and procedures are in place to manage security incidents.
• Hire, mentor, and grow Security Engineering team members.
• Provide senior management with regular insights into current threats and the company's security posture.

The range below reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salary across all US locations. Actual compensation may vary outside of this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's qualifications including relevant education and training, competencies, experience, geographic location, and business needs. Base pay is only one part of the total compensation package. Full time roles are eligible for equity and benefits. Base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
