This role involves planning and performing quality audits and assessments, managing quality teams, providing consultation to project teams, identifying opportunities for improvement, and promoting a culture of quality throughout the organization. Our staff leads and collaborates with Kiewits module fabrication and construction teams to approach construction-driven engineering with a focus on safe, cost effective, and innovative designs that achieve client expectations and further Kiewits legacy of excellence. / ph2Responsibilities / h2pLead the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) on projects, ensuring alignment with ISO 9000 / 9001 and company standards. / ppDevelop and maintain Project Quality Plans, address compliance gaps, and drive adoption of QMS practices. / ppConduct project quality audits and assessments, lead multi-assessor audits, and implement quality assurance processes. / ppIdentify non-conformance trends, execute corrective actions, and foster continuous improvement. / ppBuild, manage, and mentor quality teams, setting clear expectations and providing feedback. / ppLead staff of up to 10, depending on project complexity, and train teams on quality systems and procedures. / ppEnsure proactive risk identification and mitigation on projects, develop risk strategies, and escalate concerns to leadership when needed. / ppAlign quality initiatives with business objectives, drive strategic improvements, and contribute to overall organizational goals. / ppOversee project and district-level documentation, analyze data to identify trends, and ensure accurate corporate reporting. / ppEngage clients and external partners, representing the company on quality matters, and foster relationships to achieve objectives. / ppCommunicate persuasively across organizational levels, collaborate to implement quality initiatives, and promote continuous improvement. / ppAnticipate and mediate conflicts, working to find common ground and resolve high-risk issues. / ppExhibit strong problem-solving skills, address complex issues, and lead innovative solutions. / ppPrioritize tasks, manage project quality activities, and handle complex workloads efficiently. / ppMaintain relevant certifications, engage in professional growth, and advise on industry standards and codes. / ph2Qualifications / h2pBachelors degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field. / pp10+ years of project quality experience. / ppStrong engineering or technical background related to assigned responsibilities. / ppEffective communication skills, both written and verbal. / ppAbility to build relationships and collaborate across organizational levels. / ppStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. / ppExcellent organizational and time management skills / ppUnderstanding of ISO Standards. / ppStrategic thinking and initiative to drive improvements and align with business objectives. / ppProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). / ppProficient in Microsoft PowerBI. / ppExperience with quality management software and database applications. / ppFamiliarity with data analysis tools and technologies supporting quality functions. / ppRelevant quality certifications preferred : ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence, Six Sigma Green Belt, etc. / p / div
