This role will become the trusted technical advisor for our clients and work collaboratively with Millig’s internal team to identify and convert energy systems-related projects from conceptual designs to successful construction projects.
This candidate will also have the opportunity to train under some of the best engineers in the country to become an expert in designing systems to eliminate fossil fuels as a heating energy source and create high-performing district energy systems at universities, industrial pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, and state capitol campuses. Some travel is required.
Millig values creativity and innovation in this position, as well as strong project management skills. The ideal candidate will be strategic, self-driven, success oriented, and have strong communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities :

- Work with senior engineering leadership to identify facility and system deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Create baseline energy models using eQUEST, spreadsheets, and similar.
- Perform carbon assessment and carbon end use analysis, with guidance from senior engineers.
- Develop a variety of upgrade options and assess the feasibility of each option through cost estimating, constructability review, and life cycle cost analysis.
- Perform iterative analysis of different upgrade options targeting energy efficiency, infrastructure improvements, electrification, decarbonization or other goals of our owners.
- Identify qualitative attributes of each project depending on each owner’s goals and needs.
- Develop deliverables such as facilities assessments, decarbonization plans, Master Plans, Investment Grade Audits, RFP responses, and construction proposals.
