Description
We seek extraordinary individuals with a strong focus on core application development, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams. As part of this team, you will build groundbreaking software services using innovative technology, continually innovating and making a difference. You will manage a team of engineers, make decisions affecting cross-functional partners, and contribute to code reviews and risk assessments. You will represent your team in cross-functional meetings and collaborate with IS&T and Business teams within Apple. You will clarify requirements, plan multi-year roadmaps, and lead the design, execution, and post-execution phases of software development. You will also have the opportunity to develop some of the brightest engineers in the industry.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of Software Engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineering teams
- 5+ years building and maintaining large-scale, distributed systems
- Experience in building, developing, and managing highly effective engineering teams
- Full stack hands-on development experience using Java / J2EE technologies
- Experience designing and architecting large projects for performance, scalability, robustness, and resiliency
- Proven project management skills with on-time delivery and Agile methodology experience
- Results-oriented with high ownership and accountability
- Effective communication skills across organizational levels
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
