Position Overview
The School Psychologist will provide a full range of psychological services to students in grades K12, including assessment, intervention, consultation, and prevention. This role is an integral part of a multidisciplinary team working collaboratively to promote student success and ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
Participate as a key member of multidisciplinary teams in eligibility and IEP meetings.
Provide counseling, behavioral interventions, and crisis response as needed.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students educational and emotional development.
Assist with implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Provide consultation and professional development for school staff regarding student learning and behavior management strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
Qualifications
Required :
Masters, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
Valid Arizona Department of Education School Psychologist Certificate .
Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and Arizona state special education regulations.
Strong skills in assessment, consultation, and data-driven decision-making.
Preferred :
Prior experience in a K12 public school setting.
Familiarity with MTSS, PBIS, and restorative practices.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) proficiency.
