Position : Automation Controls Technician
Job Requirements :
An ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
At least 5 years of experience in Heavy Manufacturing, ideally Metal Stamping, Welding and
Robotics with an emphasis in Automation.
An ability to maintain good working relationships with peers and co-workers.
A positive, team-oriented, “can-do” attitude.
Good communication skills.
Good math and reading skills.
Good Mechanical and Excellent Electrical skills.
Job Duties / Description :
Previous automotive, weld engineering and quality analysis experience.
Responsible for the calibration of all monitoring sensors and devices to assure their accuracy.
Performs equipment startup and troubleshooting as it relates to the electrical control system.
Design, maintain and troubleshoot all new and existing controls and automated systems.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Experience with network and automation communication protocols including wireless platforms.
Thoroughness and attention to detail are required as a significant amount of time will be spent
working with complex PLC programs and electrical control systems.
Experience with Variable Frequency Drives
Continuing to learn the craft of electrical, controls and automation engineering, researching “state-of-
the-art” and how it could be utilized on the manufacturing floor.
Review prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics.
Follow all prescribed safety regulations, i.e., PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection) etc.
Communicate clearly and to the point with all team members should any quality or other issues arise.
Keep work area clean and organized in a 5S manner.
