About Thea Energy :
Thea Energy is leveraging recent breakthroughs in stellarator physics and engineering to create a faster and simpler approach to commercializing fusion energy. The company is reinventing the stellarator using computer-controlled arrays of planar coils thereby replacing the intricate, complex modular magnets required in all other stellarator architectures. Thea Energy is on a mission to create a limitless source of zero emission energy for a sustainable future.
Position Overview :
Thea Energy is seeking highly skilled and motivated technicians to join our rapidly growing team. The Engineering Technician will be at the forefront of bringing our innovative designs to life. You will be responsible for hands-on fabrication, assembly, and testing of critical hardware including superconducting magnets, high vacuum and cryogenic equipment, electromechanical systems, and other associated hardware. You will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, troubleshoot complex problems, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes. Key Responsibility Areas :
- Build, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems
- Assist in developing new equipment, tools, procedures, and inspection techniques to reduce production time while maintaining high quality
- Responsible for tool and workspace organization and maintenance
- Assemble and troubleshoot test articles and supporting test equipment
- Collaborate to support development of manufacturing processes and tooling
